The Best Wedding Venues in the North Cotswolds: My Top 5!

Bride and Groom in the countryside at Hyde House, Gloucestershire
Hyde House by Clem Stevens www.clemstevensphotography.co.uk

It's no secret that the Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK - in fact it is officially an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! So of course it makes the perfect place to have your wedding. I am lucky enough to be a wedding celebrant who lives right on the border of both Warwickshire and Gloucestershire so the North Cotswolds towns are right on my doorstep. Here's my pick of the 5 Best Wedding Venues!

The Grange at Hyde House by Clem Stevens www.clemstevensphotography.co.uk

Hyde House is a Victorian country house with a modern twist so if you are looking for just the right mix balance of contemporary and traditional then it could be the perfect venue for you! Their indoor ceremonies are held in The Grange which has a large bay window at the end of the aisle so you can look out over the rolling Gloucestershire hills as you say your vows. If you want an outdoor ceremony, you can choose The Arbour where you'll tie the knot surrounded by acres of green fields in the Cotswolds countryside. If that's not enough, you'll also enjoy absolutely spectacular sunsets from their grounds at dusk.

Sezincote House by Maggie Fitch

Sezincote House is quite simply breathtaking. It is a little piece of India tucked away in the Gloucestershire countryside just outside of Moreton-in-Marsh. Complete with a Mughal Palace, Orangery, Persian Gardens and Water Gardens with their own temple, Sezincote definitely has the WOW factor. The venue itself was built in 1805 and the regal design inspired the Brighton pavilion! They only take 9 wedding bookings per year so if you are looking for something more exclusive, Sezincote is perfect for you!

Lapstone Barn by Isobel Murphy www.isobelmurphy.com

Located near the quaint town of Chipping Campden, in Gloucestershire, you'll find Lapstone Barn. First of all, it's a dog friendly wedding venue - perfect if like me, your four legged friends are part of the family! Other than the fact they love dogs, Lapstone has everything you need from a barn venue. Gorgeous countryside views, plenty of space for all of your guests - they hold ceremonies for up to 200 people and one of the best things is the venue is yours until 1am so you can party until the early hours!

Mickleton Hills Farm taken by Katrina Bartlam www.capturedbykatrina.co.uk

Why celebrate for one day when you could celebrate for FOUR days? Mickleton Hills Farm offer a unique 4 day wedding package meaning you can arrive on Thursday and leave on Sunday! Great if you are planning a DIY wedding as you have two days to set up and get everything looking perfect before your guests arrive! You'll find Mickleton Hills Farm between Mickleton and Chipping Campden and they have four on-site holiday cottages which sleep up to 12 guests in total. This gives you the chance to build up that pre wedding excitement with your closest family and friends.

Kiftsgate Court captured by Stephanie S www.stephaniesweddings.com

If you are looking for a venue which will give you stunning wedding photos, then Kiftsgate Court is the ideal place. The gardens and grounds will be exclusively yours and you can celebrate with up to 250 guests. The gardens at Kiftsgate Court were created over 100 years ago by Helen Muir and are still looked after today by her descendants. Just imagine having your wedding ceremony in one of the country's most romantic gardens. At least the flowers are already taken care of!

These are just some of my favourite venues for your North Cotswolds wedding ceremony but of course there are many more to choose from. Get in touch if you'd like advice on what to look for, or what questions to ask when visiting venues - I'm more than happy to help!
